Discalced Carmelite lay people, also known as Secular Carmelites or OCDS, are those who feel attracted to live the spirit of the Carmelite Rule in their lay situation. Here a member describes her experience of being a member of the OCDS.

Avila - Elijah of Mount Carmel Community

The group meets at Avila on the 4th Saturday of each month from 10.00 a.m. - 1.00 p.m.

Belfast - Holy Cross Community

Galway - Flos Carmeli Group

Knock - Our Lady of Mount Carmel Group

The group meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 6pm at Tranquilla, Carmelite monastery, Knock. For information contact the President at the above address.

Loughrea - St Joseph's Community

The group meets at The Abbey on the last Wednesday of each month. During Winter months the meeting takes place on the last Saturday of each month at 11.00 a.m.

New Ross Group
